Sliding Doors

Generous openings that bring the garden closer to the interior and let daylight shape the space. A natural connection between architecture and the outdoors.

A terrace can become a natural extension of the home when the transition between spaces is carefully considered. Sliding doors allow generous glazed surfaces while maintaining an open visual connection with the outdoors. When closed, they keep the landscape in view; when opened, they make access to the garden or terrace feel more direct. The choice of proportions, finishes and framing details helps these openings sit comfortably within the architecture of the home.

The space changes as the opening changes.

Unlike a hinged door, a sliding door does not require a swing area inside the room. The leaf moves sideways, allowing the passage to the terrace to be planned around furniture, circulation and the proportions of the space. In a home facing the garden, this movement changes how the interior is used: the living area and the outdoors remain distinct, yet connect more freely. The actual opening depends on the selected arrangement and the characteristics of the system.

Lift-and-slide movement designed for large leaves.

In the MB-82HS system, turning the handle lifts the leaf onto its rollers, allowing it to move sideways. When closing, the leaf lowers onto the sealing gaskets. This operation differs from conventional sliding and enables the use of large glazed leaves. At floor level, the system includes recessed-threshold and linear-drainage solutions that must be adapted to the installation conditions.

The MB-82HS system is an aluminium lift-and-slide solution for large glazed assemblies. The moving leaf lifts onto its rollers before sliding and lowers onto the sealing gaskets when closed. The system has a 186 mm frame and an 82 mm leaf, with ST, SI and SI+ thermal variants. Fixed and moving panels can be combined, with recessed-threshold and linear-drainage options. Maximum dimensions and performance depend on the documented configuration.
